Your trust is our most valuable asset. Aluseg was built to handle sensitive property and financial data responsibly. This policy explains what data we collect on the aluseg.com website, why we collect it and how we protect it.

The app.aluseg.com platform: data processing on the rental management platform (landlord accounts, tenant and guarantor data, documents, solvency checks, SEPA Direct Debit rent collection via Stripe, lease registration and electronic rent receipts with the Portuguese Tax Authority, including how Portal das Finanças credentials are encrypted and used) is described in detail in the Platform Privacy Policy, which prevails for that processing.

1. Who We Are

Aluseg (“Aluseg”, “we” or “our”) is a Portuguese proptech platform operating at aluseg.com and app.aluseg.com, provided by Quotidiano Tagarela Unipessoal Lda (NIPC 517944456), registered at Rua França Junior, n.º 472, 2.º Esquerdo, 4450-133 Matosinhos, Portugal. 3. What Data We Collect on the Website and Why

a) Name and Email Address (Newsletter Subscribers)
When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your name and email address to send you our educational newsletter and relevant platform updates.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest / Consent (opt-in).
Managed via MailerLite. You can unsubscribe at any time with a single click.

b) Property and Contract Data (Tenancy Agreement Generator Users)
When you use our free Tenancy Agreement Generator, you provide property details (address, rent amount, contract type, names of the parties) to generate your contract. This data is processed only to generate your document and is not stored on our servers after delivery.
Legal basis: Performance of a contract / Legitimate interest.

c) Location and Property Type (Rental Simulator Users)
When you use our Rental Market Simulator, you provide property characteristics (location, floor area, type) to generate a market rent estimate. This data is used only for the calculation and is neither retained nor linked to your identity.

d) Contact Form and Document Request Data
When you contact us or request a document template, we collect your name, email address and request content in order to reply.

4. Cookies

Aluseg uses cookies to ensure the website works properly and to understand how visitors interact with our content. We use:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to work.
  • Analytics cookies — to understand page performance, subject to consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
  • Tenancy Agreement Generator data: not stored after the document is delivered.
  • Rental Simulator data: not stored after the result is delivered.
  • Contact form data: deleted within 12 months of resolution.
  • app.aluseg.com platform data: see the Platform Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Data Processors

On the website we use the following trusted third-party processors:

  • MailerLite — email newsletter management (EU compliant)
  • Supabase — secure database infrastructure (EU region, Frankfurt)
  • The full list of platform sub-processors (including payments, e-signature and email delivery) is in the Platform Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third-party marketing network or advertiser.

7. Your Rights under the GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request portability of your data

8. Data Security

All data transmitted to and from aluseg.com and app.aluseg.com is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be communicated via our newsletter or a prominent notice on the website.
