Yes. A property put on the market for rent or sale needs a valid energy certificate issued under the Energy Certification System for Buildings (SCE, Decree-Law 101-D/2020), and its energy class must appear in the listing.
Who can issue the certificate?
Only a qualified assessor (perito qualificado) registered with the SCE, run by ADENE. When a profile shows the assessor number (PQ), you can check it on the ADENE website.
How much does an energy certificate cost in Madeira?
